Keyser’s handmade lemon tarts and chocolate treats are available every Monday after the Amphitheater lecture, as well as during Old First Night.

Sep 16, 2016 · Herb now spends two or three months each year as a lecturer on the world's most prestigious cruise lines, telling the stories of America's greatest composers, lyricists and performers. Herb lives with his wife Barbara in homes in Texas, Manhattan and Chautauqua.

Aug 4, 2017 · Keyser has designed his retrospective presentation of “The Lives and Music of The Beatles” as a performance that all age groups will enjoy, and as a fundraiser for the Chautauqua Women’s Club.

In 1968, as a result of the Vietnam War, he was drafted out of his practice and served as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army Medical Corps in Georgia delivering babies and began his writing for medical scientific journals, primarily in the areas of infertility and human sexuality.

Barbara G. Keyser passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 while surrounded by her family after a short illness. Barbara was a beautiful, intelligent woman with an endless passion for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Herb has spent countless hours of his time for 20+ years baking and selling everything from lemon tarts (which he’s most known for) to a host of other sweet treats -- with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Chautauqua Fund.
