Herb Brooks Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Lake Placid, New York. This surface, along with the USA Rink, was built for the 1980 Winter Olympics.

But the glory isn’t all behind us—every year the 7,700-seat 1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena hosts national and international figure skating competitions, USA Hockey events, , ECAC Hockey Championships, and more. The Lake Placid Olympic Museum opened its doors on December 8th, 2022 to the public.

The 1980 Rink sits in the Herb Brooks Arena and in 2021 it underwent major updates and renovations. In particular, the 1980 Rink and concourse were equipped with LED Event & TV Quality Lighting and a new HVAC system.
