Really, Microsoft can have other developers work on Halo titles too but instead they just stick with 343 despite their mixed attempts. They do one thing right and then take two steps back each time. Reply reply

I love Halo, and while Infinite scratches the MP itch it was a shocking single-player IMO and they've clearly ditched the idea that it will be the Halo title for a decade. Looks like 343 is gearing up for a new run, with a new Lead Designer and Unreal Engine 5 use seemingly confirmed.

While Halo has always been about combat - about stepping into the armor of a skillful sci-fi super-soldier with a powerful arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and abilities - Halo has also been filled with bright colors and epic vistas, with soaring music and humorous characters. And Halo has always celebrated heroism and hope.

Don't forget Halo Infinite was delayed by a whole year which puts it at 6 years after Halo 5, so we're on track to having Halo 7 around 2026 based on when dev started - If the studio culture has changed, that will be a really good timeline.
