HMS Lothian, was a former cargo ship launched in 1938, as MV City of Edinburgh, which was requisitioned during the Second World War as a troop transport and later converted by the Royal Navy into a headquarters ship in the Pacific.

Jul 1, 1986 · Glenton was a young, brand new naval seaman in 1944 when he and his messmates mutinied in the HMS Lothian, flagship of Force X. The Lothian mission was to lead a task force of British ships appointed to the United States’ Seventh Fleet in the south-west Pacific Ocean (very tropical, hot and humid).
