
HMS H28 - Wikipedia
HMS H28 was a British H-class submarine built by Vickers Limited, Barrow-in-Furness, as part of the Batch 3 H-class submarines. She was laid down on 18 March 1917 and was commissioned on 29 June 1918. H28 was the only British submarine to see active service in both World Wars, and was finally scrapped in 1944.

H.M.S. H 28 was one of forty-four "H" class submarines completed for the Royal Navy in the 1910s. In 1925, she was operating with the Third Submarine Flotilla. [7] By mid-1927, she was part of the Fifth Submarine Flotilla. [8] She was commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 September 1928 for service with the Fifth Submarine Flotilla. [9]

S-Class Destroyer ordered in 1917 from Scotts of Green under the 1917 - 18 Programme in the 12th Order with HM Destroyers STRENUOUS and STRONGHOLD. The ship was launched on 25th June 1919 as the first 1st RN ship to carry the name. Build was completed in 1920 and she was fitted for use as a minelayer when required.
