For a hard-use .308/7.62 battle rifle, how do the PTR 91's measure up today? Are they any less reliable or durable than the HK91 (except the lack of CHF barrel, that's a given but I'm not worried about that)? Jul 4, 2018 · The PTR/HK91 does not have a gas system, it is basically a delayed blowback system using a set of roller bearings to hold the action shut until the pressure drops enough to allow bolt to move to the rear.
