I am trying to design a Master Manhole (>6'), just upstream from the lift station wet well, that will have an inside drop vs. the drop at the wet well. I would like to have the inside drop piping to be HDPE vs. PVC, due to the high-tech fusion bonding of the HDPE vs. PVC fitting.

Jan 5, 2017 · Both HDPE and PVC pipes should be fine for water service however HDPE and PVC both have limited resistance against sunlight/UV exposure so trust you already have a shed or some sort of protection. U-PVC would be the preferred option if the water is supposed to be used for living beings else C-PVC is better for a little higher temperatures.
