(Or HDMI 2.0 cables or any other number, HDMI cables don't have numbers) HDMI 2.1 is a hardware standard for TV's, AVR's etc. The cable you'd be looking for is an Ultra High-Speed Certified Cable, but they only exist at 3M just now AFAIK and they cost a fortune.

Nov 23, 2005 · Have a look at HDMI Cables - Different Cable Types for more info. If your cable is old it is unlikely to be 48gbps capable and therefore wont allow hdmi 2.1 features to work. The only way to test is to use the cable with hdmi 2.1 compliant devices end to end and see if the features work, e.g. current gen console to hdmi 2.1 tv.

May 10, 2022 · No implementation of HDMI version 2.1 will facilitate 8K 120Hz and its isn't even a recognised video format. The highest frame rate you'd get in relation to an 8K resolution is 60Hz. You only get 120Hz relative to 4K encoded video.

If you plug an audio/video device into a soundbar HDMI input, the soundbar can take the audio and process it without interference from an intermediate device (like the TV). The video then passes through to the soundbar HDMI output - the one marked eARC for audio return.

Jul 8, 2020 · I was actually going to go for the denon avr-x2700h. I decided to spend a bit more as I'm getting a refund for my Sony. Yeah I'll be connecting my receiver to my tvs hdmi 2.1 earc and my pc to my other hdmi 2.1 on tv so earc is important as it passes through atmos and stuff.

Jan 11, 2019 · All 7 HDMI inputs onboard the higher tier Yamaha RXA4a, RXA6a and the RXA8a are HDMI version 2.1 40Gbps compliant, as are their 3 outputs (2 mirrored and 1 seconf HDMI zone output). The issue with these models is that they are still currently awaiting a firmware revision to allow them to passthrough 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz.

However, these are only hdmi 2.0b as per your post, however your title mentions hdmi 2.1 which will limit you to models from the last year or so. Several manufacturers don't even offer hdmi 2.1 yet.
