To be fair, F91 was supposed to be a series and it was chopped up and butchers into a movie. There was supposed to be a tie between F91 and Iron Mask. That is why their faces look the same.

The Gundam's duplication technique and its mouth were tricky subjects. If the mouth opened, then of course we wanted it to shout. The director said, "It's shouting, but for what reason?" ...Cooling! "I get it!"

Nov 15, 2019 · If F91 was meant to be a Gundam for a new age (at the time), why were it's aspirations so low? Gundam was groundbreaking at the time, very much on purpose. But what does F91 bring to the table that wasn't satisfied already?
