Jun 20, 2011 · Checking POI at other disances is fine and dandy to that shooters particular shooting style, but if they were to say their gun shoots 80/20 at 34yds, they really are not telling you anything other than the way "they" shoot their gun.

  7. How to lower POI? - Shotgun Forum

Aug 8, 2021 · Hitting the exact height adding to the rib for POI is not needed if the gun has an adjustable comb. Rib height and comb height reflect the same in POI as long as the taper stays the same. Your rib taper is already set from the factory, so adding to the rib height will be the same as adding to comb height if done equally.

  8. Lowering POI - Shotgun Forum

May 1, 2011 · Summary: If your pattern-board testing accurately indicates your personal POI with this gun (meaning true performance on actual airborne targets truly is one barrel shooting 6 inches high, and the other barrel shooting 2 or 3 inches high), you should really be able to hammer every trap target thrown with at least one of these barrels (both really).

  9. Patterning to determine POI - Shotgun Forum

Jul 23, 2012 · PoI is very important for shotgunners and is a measure of the gun fit and to some extent your shooting mechanics. PoA is done with a rest. PoI is a mount and shoot exercise and is usually five shots at the same paper or plate to give an average.

  10. Point of Impact/Patterning/Where to point - Trap specific

Jan 21, 2019 · Setting POI is about your personal timing and vision (sight Picture) preferences moving to targets. I have always sighted in at 13 yards benched using Neil's method. Setting the POI at 3 inches high using a six o'clock hold point. After, set the gun POI to center targets with me doing the handling 16 back to the 27 yard line.
