May 14, 2013 · The reasons I like drafting chairs are because they are as comfortable as an office chair with all the same adjustments. They can be adjusted higher which makes it easier to sit on with a guitar in your hands, the height also makes it possible to play in almost a standing position with the edge of your ass on the chair and your feet on the ground.

Mar 21, 2008 · I'm probably going more in the direction of a higher end chair that does it all well with swing up arms. I HATE pinging my guitars on the arms. I'm 230 so that figures into needing something better. I hope this helps.

Feb 11, 2014 · I recently got a new one with flip up arms. Definitely better than trying to play in the office chair-with-armrests I had before, or drag in a dining room chair. There is a slight downside: now it's really easy to play with my feet up on the desk, leaning back in the chair. It's not exactly ergonomically correct! Still, I do like the chair.
