Green Hills Zone (グリーンヒル[1] Gurīn Hiru?, lit. "Green Hill") is the fourth Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit). As with all other Zones in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Green Hills Zone consists of two standard Acts followed by a shorter, third Act which contains the Zone's boss at its end.

In Sonic Jump 2, Green Hill returned as the first Zone in the game. This iteration of Green Hill seems to prominently feature a rocky mountain and the iconic loop-de-loop is absent as well. It is also given a new background music which would then be remixed in the later Sonic Jump games.

Green Hill (グリーンヒル Gurīn Hiru?) is a bonus stage in Sonic Adventure 2. It can be unlocked by both collecting all 180 emblems and getting all A- Ranks in the game. As Sonic Adventure 2 celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the stage acts as a continuation of this theme.

Green Hill Zone is considered to be a classic video game level, akin to the first stage of Super Mario Bros., World 1-1. The level and its music have also received positive opinions from critics. Jun 15, 2024 · Taken from the original Green Hill Zone from 2.1, this level is now fully playable on 2.2 with new improved loops and zoom tubes and more object placements. You can use this level to add it to your level packs or whatever you like to it for experience nostalgia and even play it with characters like CD Sonic to feel like you are playing with the real Genesis Style.
