Dec 28, 2014 · I have ordered a gold valve for the rear of my 05 DR 650. My question is to those of you who have installed the gold valves yourself is, were you happy with the settings race tech recommended or did you feel the need to change it?

Mar 14, 2018 · I did go the gold valve route on my 650. Well worth the time/cost. At first it seemed a bit stiff in compression, but it controls the rear wheel thru washboard nicely.

Mar 5, 2014 · Everything you need to do when you replace your Stock springs with the Race Tech springs can be done by just removing the top cap. Once your top cap is removed pour out old oil from the top by pumping your shock up and down. This will dump out the old oil, your metal spacer sleeve, a washer then your spring.

May 29, 2007 · I am doing a short run on DR 650 shocks this week but plan another bigger run in November. I have been really happy with the setup on mine and the feedback from customers has been very good as well. The Emulator and spring package we have been doing matches the reworked shock well.

Aug 31, 2010 · I recently fully rebuilt my stock shock with Racetech Gold valves, new heavier spring and 5 weight fluid. Between that and the Cogent DDC's, the DR is a new bike.

May 27, 2010 · The newly built main shaft with shim stacks and Gold Valve are cycled to get air bubbles out. Special tool used again to push seal head down as you release the bladder pressure. Snap ring, zap the bladder with 20 PSI to seat the seal head and reassemble the remaining parts.
