Jun 29, 2019 · My Gen 3 Glock 20 with both KKM 6 inch and KKM standard sized barrel is my go to outdoors gun. The pros are that it packs a punch, holds plenty of rounds, is accurate, and is reliable as any Glock. The cons are of course, the ammo can get quite spendy unless you reload, and even then, chasing down and collecting all the brass can be a pain.

Glock designed the gun for the common factory loading that every large, commercial ammo manufacturer, such as Federal or Remington, uses. NOT for the so-called "full power" Bubba loadings that you can get from boutique ammo manufacturers.

Aug 13, 2015 · There is over 100fps difference between the 4.6 and 5.5" barrel in the Glock 20. That's very significant. That puts most 180gr. factory bullets and some 200 grain bullets over the 700ft-lb range. To me there isn't much reason for a 500ft-lb bullet out of a full size gun when you can get the same out of a 40SW with a smaller frame and less weight.

Dec 16, 2012 · 1. Just put the Glock barrel in the G20. This works generally. Accuracy might not be as good as with option3, and extraction may not be 100%, but it generally works. 2. Buy a conversion barrel. The accuracy might be better than the Glock barrel. Extraction may not be 100%. 3. Buy a complete upper. This is 100% just like a G20.

May 14, 2017 · The only time I carry my old Gen 2 Glock 20 is when I am hunting. I figure the hot rodded 180gr JSP from Norma penetrates well into protein on the hoof or paw, and 16 rounds on deck is a "good thing".

Oct 21, 2024 · Frustratingly, the Glock 20 has been extremely unreliable with 200 grain hard cast and 200 grain hollow points, regardless of recoil spring assembly. At this point I've tried:-Stock-Jager products 22#-Jager products 20#-DPM RSA, all four different springs with small cap (still need to test them with large cap)

Jan 18, 2024 · I just took my new Glock 20 Gen 5 to the range and shot two magazines with two different types of ammunition. I had 6 different nose up failures to feed in the first magazine. Second magazine shot without issues. I am a firm believer that every firearm deserves a 500 round break in period. After that, it’s an issue with the firearm.

Jul 7, 2005 · After some additional testing, I've concluded that my Glock 20 Gen 5 isn't sufficiently reliable with any full-power 200 grain loads, despite various attempts at modifying the gun to address the reliability issues. The extra-power magazine springs helped a lot, but I'm still getting a failure to feed on approximately 1 out of every 20 rounds or so.
