If you had a choice....Glastron GT150 vs. Glasspar G3
Nov 22, 2010 · Re: If you had a choice....Glastron GT150 vs. Glasspar G3 OK Chuck, BOTH! Hee! Hee! I'm sure there's going t be plenty of opinions here but IMHO they are both great boats. Very classic lines but the G3 probably more so. They would both be great boats, If I had room for two I'd get them both. Bob
glasspar g3 worth restoring? - iboats Boating Forums
Sep 12, 2010 · Re: glasspar g3 worth restoring? Yeah. Once you restore it and put a period engine on it it will be worth a lot more. Classy little boat. I just acquired a "James Bond" Glastron GT 150 and have started stripping it in preparation for a complete resto. For my next restoration I was going to start looking now for a G3.

1961 Glasspar G3???? | Boating Forum - iboats Boating Forums
Apr 1, 2012 · Re: 1961 Glasspar G3???? Unfortunately, this boat has seen it's last open water. The previous owner butchered the cap, the hull, the transom & the stringers. I am using it as a training tool for possible applications of a product we normally don't use on fiberglass. So the other 1/2 of the cap may never see any changes, left for reference.
1961 Glasspar G-3 gets a new Transom... - iboats Boating Forums
Oct 4, 2011 · Re: 1961 Glasspar G-3 gets a new Transom... I'm not a fiberglass guy, but the subject is addressed time and time again on this Forum. Look to the bottom of this page for like sites. Transom repairs are very common. At least you have the bottom out so you can visually inspect the stringers at the same time.
Antique Bow Light need help to ID this, came on my Glasspar G3
Aug 22, 2009 · Re: Antique Bow Light need help to ID this, came on my Glasspar G3 That is a typical, albeit over the top, bow light from the '50s/'60s era. Many boats didn't come rigged with electricals in those days and it was up to the dealer to install lights, cleats, etc. as part of the rigging process. Many times the owner would install the items themselves.
Any Glasspar G-3 fans/owners out there? - Boating Forum
Sep 4, 2010 · Re: Any Glasspar G-3 fans/owners out there? I loved the G3. It was about as wide as it was long. My next door neighbor (on the lake) had one with a new white Mercury 55 hp motor, and it performed well. Your Stinger 75 motor should really do good on this boat, as it was ported for higher RPM's, etc.
G3 Serial number? | Boating Forum - iboats Boating Forums
Jun 7, 2011 · No luck. I have a 1975 Glasspar Cutlas 170, and the serial number is on the top RHS of the transom, but couldn't see one on the G3. I'm hoping that someone with an old G3 will know where it is supposed to be. Looking at old brochures, the 1961 G3 shows a photo with left-hand drive, so I'm thinking it might be around that vintage.
Help me date my glasspar! - iboats Boating Forums
Apr 29, 2008 · Re: Help me date my glasspar! Well, the only info on the tag is "Glasspar" then the serial number. Also, I have already chainsawed the entire transom and inner rear wall of the transom out and scraped all the old wood out with an air chisel, (By the way, that made things ALOT faster!) I will be pouring some seacast in there hopefully next week!
1960 Glasspar G3 painting question - iboats Boating Forums
May 15, 2011 · Re: 1960 Glasspar G3 painting question What kind of Glasspar do you own? I am a proud owner of a 1960 Glasspar runabout here in Montana. I am interested in other Glasspars. Mine had been restored by the original owners and the sold to a uwho knew nothing about boats and parked it next to a garage with the bow on the ground .
