Aug 5, 2022 · I did this timeline a while back and revised it so I thought I share the latest results. ALL of Given thus far takes place in approximately nine months roughly contiguous with the boys’ second year of high school, beginning in approximately early June coinciding with the beginning of the anime. This is right after Ugetsu’s 21st birthday.

Language is also culture, English dubs of Japanese media is also a western interpretation of Japanese media, etc etc. But oftentimes these dubs at least do justice to the anime in terms of being an extremely good localization. With the exact same level of emotion and commitment, just through a different cultural lens.
