Gargamel is the main antagonist of The Smurfs franchise. He is an evil wizard of debatable skill and is the owner of his cat Azrael, the master of Scruple and the archenemy of the Smurfs (mainly Papa Smurf, Brainy, Clumsy, Smurfette and Grouchy).
