Longview Community Center Features. Longview Community Center opened its doors in December 2018 under Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) ownership. The facility was built in 1989 by the Metropolitan Community College system and re-designed by LSPR to accommodate all ages for all seasons.
