This document provides 100-year time horizon global warming potential (GWP) values from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The table below is adapted from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, 2020 (AR6).i.

During the sixth assessment cycle ( October 2015 to July 2023) the IPCC produced the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) with contributions by its three Working Groups and a Synthesis Report, three Special Reports, and a refinement to its latest Methodology Report.

Apr 25, 2024 · • Adopts the 100-year GWP values from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) for certain GHGs that do not have chemical-specific GWPs listed in AR5, and • Revises and expands the set of default GWPs that are applied to GHGs without available peer-reviewed, chemical-specific GWPs.

Working Group III AR6 Data. The FAIR Guidelines of Working Group III (WGIII) cover the final data for all Summary for Policymakers (SPM) figures and tables, and most of figures and tables in the Technical Summary (TS) where applicable. These datasets are hosted by MetadataWorks.

The new Sixth Assessment Report from the IPCC (AR6) has caused headlines around the world and stresses the urgency of the climate challenge. The report will provoke governments to strengthen their climate policies and requires companies to update their greenhouse gas emission calculations to follow the latest scientific understanding.

Dec 30, 2023 · This dataset provides 20- (GWP-20), 100- (GWP-100) and 500-year (GWP-500) GWPs from the 4th (AR4), 6th (AR6) IPCC assessment reports, and 20- (GWP-20) and 100-year (GWP-100) GWPs from the 5th (AR5) report (AR5 provided no 500 yr GWPs).

The Working Group III (WGIII) contribution to the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) assesses the current state of knowledge on the scientific, technological, environmental, economic and social aspects of climate change mitigation.
