OpenGTA2 is a remake of Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2. It is based on a custom top-down game engine called OpenGBH, and uses different file formats than GTA 2 and GTA - although there are conversion tools which make maps and graphics compatible with OpenGTA2.

Grand Theft Auto 2 is an action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games in October 1999 for the PlayStation and Windows, and the Dreamcast and Game Boy Color in 2000. It is the sequel to 1997's Grand Theft Auto, and the second main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Nov 13, 2021 · Joking aside I'd love to see a decent remaster of gta2. And gta1 for that matter. there was something really satisfying about mowing down the conga lines of chanting people. I would LOVE to see GTA2 on next-gen. Pretty much sums up the game. Makes it look more realistic while less detailed at the same time.
