Feb 23, 2015 · The mighty 9F locomotive based at the line, No.92214, is taking on a new identity as famous classmate No.92220 ‘Evening Star’. The real ‘Evening Star’ still exists and is on display at the National Railway Museum in York.
To welcome the loco to its permanent new residence, GCR is staging a ‘BR Standards Weekend’ on 22nd & 23rd February. It will star at the event alongside No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ & No. 78019 as well as a heritage diesel locomotive operating a busy timetable.
