Fun fact, any frisbee sport usually opts for the word disc instead of frisbee for the same reasons listed previously. Most golf discs are of a smaller diameter and higher density than "regular frisbees."

A "frisbee" is known to be a child's toy you play catch with. Some people want disc golf to be looked at as a sport, not a children's game. People I know who poke fun at disc golf use the word frisbee or frolf, so I can see why some people may take offence to it. "You going to go play with your frisbees? Just sounds condescending.

The argument is that par in ball golf is “number of strokes to reach the green plus 2 for putting” to make par. Some people argue that disc golf should be “number of strokes to reach the green plus 1 for putting” to make par. Given that putting in disc golf is so much easier, this makes a certain amount of sense.

Sep 8, 2023 · Of course, everyone has different experiences. New England woods golf definitely encourages understable discs for control rather than overstable bombs or wind discs. Going with better plastic innova discs didn't work out for me - though it could work out for others.

Feb 7, 2023 · Disc golf is a small sport, even with the great increase in popularity. Not everyone who plays cares about this info. I would say somewhere in 5-10% will show interest and fewer will actually buy and use.
