Formula 5 is the only class for specially built formula racers, which runs for a Danish Championship published by the Danish Automobile Sports Union and the Danish Sports Confederation and is thus an official DIF Danish Championship. The championship usually takes place over seven to eight race weekends.

There have been 5 Formula One drivers from Denmark. [1][2] Tom Belsø became the first Danish Formula One driver when he was entered in the 1973 Swedish Grand Prix, however only participated in practice before handing the car over to Howden Ganley. [3] .

Nordic 4, formerly known as F4 Danish Championship is a Danish motor racing series for open-wheel cars complying with FIA Formula 4 Gen1 regulations. The inaugural championship was contested in 2017 .
