Apr 30, 2020 · Here is my current starter solenoid wiring diagram per my AAW kit. The starter instructions show that the battery positive and the starter feed are on the same terminal? And the small supplemental wire that came in the kit, goes on the opposing terminal?

As @Woodchuck said, that post on the solenoid is an "ignition bypass" (bypassing the pink resister wire) as the wire connected to it provides a full 12v to the ignition coil during cranking.

Oct 22, 2023 · You want to find the point along the circuit where full available battery voltage (during cranking) drops. If you find a low 6-7v reading on the “S” terminal coming out of the starter solenoid, it’s possible that the copper plate inside of that has gotten corroded over the years.
