Apr 9, 2012 · I would avoid the waders with boots attached. The boots will almost always wear out before the waders, and then you have to buy a whole new set. With stocking foot waders, you just buy a new pair of boots. Simms are hard to beat but are pricey. I highly reccomend Cabela's: great waders, warranties and customer service.

Like I said my older 90s simms waders were the best waders I've owned and would gladly pay a premium price for them now. I can buy 5-7 pairs of redington crosswater waders for the price of g3 or G4 simms and I'll always have a backup pair.

Nov 20, 2005 · Definitely go with the felt soles. If you buy Chotas, you can get felt soles with small metal spikes that will grip anything, including mud and snow. I used to have rubber-sole neoprene waders and I would slip all over the place. Then I bought some breathables waders and bought separate boots with felt soles and metal spikes.
