Dec 3, 2014 · From my perception and experience, most fat Marines have difficulty completing unit PT and running good PFT/CFTs. However, there are exceptions to the rule and fat freaks do exist within the ranks. The fittest aesthetically lacking Marine I ever met wasn't super big, but had a pot belly and bloated face from drinking beer every night.
Why is it that a lot of Marines get fat while ON active duty?
Output must exceed input. If input exceeds output, you get fat. The only people that have a legitimate ax to grind with the standards are women, as their standards are not reasonable. Men can easily meet the body fat % if they surpass the height/weight charts.
