Jun 12, 2021 · The way that you can tell is a healthy Axolotl should be as wide as their head when you look from above. If you feel that she needs to loose some weight you can feed her three times a week. I feed mine Monday, wed, fri because the worms I feed are a bit bigger and it gives them time to digest them and keeps them at a healthy weigh.

Jan 5, 2008 · If you're worried and able to post a picture - that may help! On another note - the other two axies, are they in with your "fat axolotl" or in a separate tank? If they're together, did you quarantine them for the minimum 30 days before introducing them? This is to ensure they are healthy and won't pass anything onto your longer/older resident.
