The Dog is a supporting character in Fable III that accompanies the Hero of Brightwall. His primary intended purpose is to be a way for the player to develop and hold a deeper emotional link to Albion .

The Dog Breed Set is a DLC pack for Fable III available for free from Xbox LIVE Marketplace. It adds three new breeds for your dog that can be changed by interacting with the dog basket in the Sanctuary.

Transform your faithful dog into a poodle, doberman or alsatian with this amazing set of potions. Just let your dog have a sip when he's lying in his basket in the Sanctuary. This item will be added to your gift queue in the Sanctuary, and will be available when it's unlocked in the storyline.

You'll get gifts as you go along in the game, but not all at once since I think it only loads about three gifts at a time. Once you get the potion, go to the basket where you dog is in the Sanctuary and hit X (after selecting it) to change your breed.

While exploring, the dog can guide the player to treasure chests or point out buried secrets, and they will growl if enemies are ahead. The dog will also assist in combat, primarily in ripping out the throats of downed enemies, but additional tricks can be learned to improve the dog's capabilities.
