Oct 16, 2007 · For me, when i want to ride an FZ i would rather ride the 6, the "One" blurs the line a little more between pure sports and comfy all-rounder. The FZ1 takes more attention and effort, but rewards you with all that extra power and deffinantly more precise steering and handling.

Apr 15, 2023 · Why not FZ6, they are plentyful, cheap and reliable and around 100hp. That would be a great middle step to FZ1. A 2009 Fz1 was my second bike. It is a big step up, but if you're responsible, you'll be fine. I'd look out for a Gen 2 as they have fuel injection and look better IMO.

Oct 6, 2004 · The FZ6 or FZ1 would both be good reliable low maintenance commuters that are reasonable priced on the used market. I had a 2001 FZ1 with a aftermarket wind shield and heated grips; it was a great commuter.

Nov 7, 2004 · All comes down to price point. Fortunately, you can jump over to racetech and buy some new springs, valves, etc. The braking issue can be solved with a Galfer kit. The FZ6 will never be as quick as your CBR600RR, but it's way more comfortable . . . .and with a little work, and not a lot of cash, it'll be just as fun.
