This is more rugged than the standard E mount on the Sony FX6. This is relevant if you’re planning on using heavy cinema lenses and zooms with the camera. For most people though, it’s not as important.

Feb 14, 2022 · FX9 has timecode and genlock, FX6 has timecode only. FX9 has a positive locking lens mount (basically a PL E-Mount if you will), which is far mroe stable for cine lens use whereas the FX6 doesn't and would definitely need lens support with larger cine lenses.
