Fort McAllister State Park is a 1,725 acres (698 ha) Georgia state park located near Keller and Richmond Hill in south Bryan County, Georgia and on the south bank of the Ogeechee River (some parts of the park border the Atlantic Ocean). It is roughly ten miles south of Savannah.

The park encompasses 1,725 acres on the banks of the Ogeechee River and has the best-preserved earthwork fortification of the Confederacy. Visitors can explore the many historic sites and Civil War museum.

We offer a variety of programs throughout the month. Topics include the Civil War, soldier life, weapons, wildlife, crafts, survival, animals, and more. We strive to offer ranger-guided fort tours Wednesday to Sunday at 2 p.m. as events and scheduling allow.
