Dec 11, 2009 · That is my DSA STG-58 with a DSA rail, SAW grip and top cover. Optic is a Meopta K-dot in Badger rings. I was going for something of a "DM" setup with this rifle. The forward rail actually tensions the barrel a bit resulting in less POI shift with the suppressor. I love the setup a lot. Mark

I know a decent example is going to be expensive so I thought I'd get some range reports prior to spending the money. Was going to ask over on the Falfiles but I figured us Arfcom L1A1/FAL owners actually shoot our FALs more. Or did until ammo got scarce. @TurbineBoiler

Mar 22, 2010 · I don't want the optic sitting up too high. I'm certain the LaRue QD will put the ACOG up higher; the bottom of the ACOG is attached directly to DSA's mount. This is a pic of my FAL when it wore the TA11C:

Mar 1, 2024 · If the optic is mounted then you remove this possible variable of tilt between the receivers, and can result in a better MOA reading. In my opinion if you are concerned with measuring moa on the rifle instead of minute of good enough then a FAL probably isn't for you.

Jan 24, 2013 · I finally bought one, holy crap it the BEST thing made for the FAL. Nothing compairs, nothing. Light weight, modular, configurable, feels great to the hands, good cooling, intergrates with the FAL like a modern weapon. Just the thoughts of a 20 year FAL owner/builder, who got the Vltor last year.

Feb 12, 2025 · Imbel/STG58 FAL, barrel shortened a bit by ARS sometime back in around 2000 Attached File DSA Para kit Steiner P4Xi super low-mounted (throw lever ring inside a picatinny slot). Just shot a 3" group at 100yds using MEN Metallwerk 7.62x51mm 147gr. Not bad for my eyes/this trigger/that optic/FAL.
