May 4, 2018 · EUROMAP 77 describes the interface between injection moulding machines (IMM) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) for data exchange. The first version has been released on 4 May 2018. MES are used for collecting the information generated by IMM at a central point for easier quality assurance and job and dataset management.

EUROMAP was established 1964. It is the umbrella organisation of the powerful European plastics and rubber machinery industry which accounts for some 40% of worldwide production and 50% export volumes.

This EUROMAP recommendation defines the connection between the injection moulding machine and the handling device / robot. This is intended to provide interchangeability.

Jun 1, 2021 · euromap 83 For the communication between different machines, manufacturer independent information models are required. For plastics and rubber machinery, these information models are based on OPC UA, a communication framework developed and provided by the OPC Foundation.

Driven by our members, EUROMAP has set itself the task to standardize these key elements of Industry 4.0. For machine data communication, the open-source standard OPC UA has established itself in the industry and is widely used.
