It’s meant to be a moment where a young hero with power and burdens to resolve a threat strikes out to fight alone and not drag others into his fight. The tattered clothes isn’t Deku “flirting with darkness” or doing bad things.

Dec 24, 2022 · Ironically, the Dark Deku look made Deku look more of a top hero than his current look, in a way that is subversive of All Might's original look of inspiring hope, like the typical yin-yang comparison. As edgy as he looked, Deku felt like the real deal even though that look lasted as long as a sneeze.
