Aug 29, 2015 · I have tried the following Earl Slicks: Fullerton Bridge w/a 5.6k (Bakersfield?) neck. This is a great pairing, but isn't offered as a set, except in their guitars. A Bakersfield bridge w/a " warmtone " 6.6k neck in a thinline ; also very nice. A pair of Jr. P-90's. BALLZY!!! And an old school br. HB w/a series-parallel switch.

Jul 19, 2020 · I'd have bought a Slick by now but I hate relic'd guitars. I'm a bit surprised you didn't like the pickups, I've bought several sets of GFS and have liked or loved them all so far. I've got them in both my Tele and Strat and have no plans to swap them out.

Apr 27, 2016 · I have a Slick Tele that I replaced the stock "Fullerton" neck pickup with the "Bakersfield" neck pickup. The "Bakersfield" is a hotter, and I think better balanced pickup with the stock "Fullerton Lead" model.

The bodies and necks came in natural, cellophane pink and cellophane red and the bodies also came in two tone sunburst.
