That all three wheel arrangements were offered is recorded in the Kalmbach book “Our GM Scrapbook”, of 1971.

The G16 is a type of road switcher designed by EMD specifically for export to operators whose axle load is restricted to less than 20 tonnes. Their general layout resembled the standard road switchers offered for the domestic market at the time.

Oct 9, 2018 · It's a Yugoslavian Class 661 Diesel (Type EMD G16) which was imported from the USA from the beginning of the 1960's. It was used for all duties all over the JZ (Yugoslavian State Railways) network. A few survive until today in Serbia and Macedonia.
