The Embraer E-Jet E2 family is a series of four-abreast narrow-body airliners designed and produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The twinjet is an incremental development of the original E-Jet family, adopting the more fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney PW1900G, a geared turbofan engine.

In the 2010s, Embraer introduced the second-generation E-Jet E2 family, featuring more fuel-efficient engines. Mar 21, 2021 · Following final flight tests of the E190-E2, at the beginning of 2018, Embraer highlighted that the aircraft proved to have 1.3% better fuel consumption than expected. Moreover, the progress is a 17.3% improvement when up against the E190.
