Nuclear New Build Generation Company (NNB GenCo) is a subsidiary created by EDF Energy to build and then to operate two new nuclear power stations in the United Kingdom. The new plants are to be Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C and will eventually produce up to 6.4 GW in total.

We aim to build a new power station with two UK-EPR reactors located on land next to the current Sizewell B station in Suffolk. Sizewell C will be a near identical copy of Hinkley Point C, which will make it cheaper to build and finance and cost competitive with other low-carbon technologies.

Dec 21, 2024 · Since the first nuclear reaction on 3 September 2024[1], EDF teams have conducted a series of tests and inspections to gradually increase the reactor's power. Flamanville 3 reactor was connected to the national grid on 21 December 2024 at 11:48am and has produced 100 MW of electricity.
