After you have recovered and secured the account you can try to dispute the ban. They switched over to the EA app and it has created typical EA havoc. Accounts have been deleted, game libraries wiped out, unable to install games - you name it, they've managed to do it. And if you reach out to their "support" team, chances are they will ignore you in typical EA fashion.

Suspension vs Ban. Suspension: We’ll remove your access to parts of the game or the entire game when we notice activity on your EA Account that goes against our Rules of Conduct. Suspensions can vary in length depending on the severity of the violation. You can be suspended for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 365 days.
