Jul 6, 2014 · AKM is a beast, BUT, the mosin is in a whole different class. As for the M4, the thing is comparable to a sporter .22 with a 30 clip. It's been a hunk of junk every time I've used it, and I would not trust my life with an M4 in DayZ's current build.

Dec 19, 2013 · Step 4: Go to the Barracks, if you are in a low pop. server its almost guarenteed to have n M4. Step 5: Stock up on ammo (this can be found throughout the airfield) Step 6: Take your fully geared character onto a full server and enjoy. This isnt for the taste of everyone as its very easy to get these weapons / items without a challenge.

Sep 6, 2017 · wtf. if you want an m4 what else you gonna use it for? fishing? ofc he is going to use it for pvp. go find a server that does daily persistance wipes then go to tisy on a restart, you will find 5+ 60 round stanages and be able to fill them up, up to 10 m4s, you will find a fal or svd or both and have mags for the svd and possibly the fal. ♥ ...

Jun 23, 2019 · managed to stumble across an AKM at a Heli crash, and then found 2M4's at NWAF (should have kept my mouth shut and Dayz'd on) left the AK and only took 1M4, i didnt want to be greedy 1 Share this post

May 16, 2019 · M4's were only really found at Tisy Military Base. yeah i definitely found an m4s a few updates ago, and on the ship no less. i read on the DayZ wiki that the devs took them out as a means to control hackers -- but that note had no date attached so i was hoping for the best. i guess i'll hope for staroye, assuming they aren't heli loot :(

Jan 1, 2022 · In my opinion 2 AKM shots should be equal or slightly less damage compared to 3 M4 shots. If AKM is: 600 RPM * 90 Damage = 54000 Damage per minute Then M4 should have approximately the same DPM if you ask me. M4 -- 750 RPM * x = 54000, so damage ends up being 72.  So around 72 damage, or at most I would give it 80.

Jan 9, 2014 · Magpul buttstock and hand guard will reduce spread for longer range engagements, CQB butstock increases spread but quicker to turn, suppresor/bayonet are just cosmetic for the moment, RIS handguard allows weapon flashlight to be mounted.

May 22, 2014 · Right now, there's no real utility in using an M4 versus an SKS versus an AK versus a Mosin. There aren't enough "high-end" weapons included to justify a fully significant helicopter spawn. In other words, I won't go searching for helicopter crashes unless something useful/extraordinary spawns there.

Aug 30, 2012 · AR15 14.5" M4 profile: Average 2686.7fps, 881.2 ft./lbs of muzzle energy. The 20" barrel on the M16 is going to provide more energy to the projectile than the 14.5" barrel. The higher velocity of the 20" barrel is also going to reduce bullet drop over distance. I would really like to see barrel lengths considered as part of the ballistic tables.
