David Castro (born February 7, 1996) is an American actor, known for his role as Raphael Santiago on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Castro was born on Long Island, New York to a Puerto Rican father, Albee Castro, and Kathleen, an American mother of Italian descent.

David's acting career began at age 5, where he landed a national Nickelodeon Sponge Bob commercial. At age 7, David landed a role in a Todd Solondz's film due to his talented break-dancing moves. His first leading role came a year later in the film remake of "The Little Fugitive."
