Danya Ariel Dayson (born October 1, 1972) is an associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. [2][3] Dayson earned her Bachelor of Arts from Appalachian State University and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. [4] After graduating, she clerked for Judge Robert E. Morin. She then worked in private practice.

Danya Dayson joined the court in 2011. She currently serves on a Civil II calendar. Previously, she has presided over domestic relations, juvenile and criminal calendars. She has also served as the Deputy Presiding Judge of the Criminal Division. Danya Dayson was born in New York City and was raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
