Giant Deep-sea Isopod (Dango Mushi 05 by Bandai)
Dec 7, 2019 · The fine detail is pretty good (the quality of Dango Mushi figures has improved quickly in just under two years when the first common pillbug figure was released). The following image shows this figure alongside the life-sized figure by Kitan Club and the smallest representative of the species in my collection, which is by Kaiyodo.

Sep 15, 2019 · The Bandai company made lots of very fine insect figurines, from the Mushi King output, Figure Pictorial Book of Gakken to even a cicada life cycle. A few years ago they started their Dango Mushi line. Which, till this beetle, consisted entirely out of pill bugs. Pill bugs are enormously popular in Japan.

Diversity of Life on Earth by Bandai - Animal Toy Forum
Mar 26, 2022 · In 2020, Bandai started a new line of figures called Diversity of Life on Earth. This line seems to be an extension of their Dango Mushi line. So far, the figures are large, require assembly, and when completed are heavily articulated. They are models for serious collectors and not toys to be played with.

Jan 26, 2025 · The top two shelves, shown in this first image, are some large Kaiyodo (Revogeo, Sofubi Toy Box) and Bandai (Diversity of Life on Earth, Dango Mushi) and Bandai Spirits figures. There are also Kaiyodo bottlecap figures and some other random Kaiyodo and other Japanese figures. These next two shelves are some of my favorites.
