If you are, for example, the foreign spouse, you should fill up this form when it becomes available. NVC won’t issue invoices or proceed with your case until you submit this form.

Aug 6, 2014 · Why Ds-261 form shows incomplete status? Maybe (hopefully) yours is a simple misunderstanding with your lawyer or your lawyer's office staff that could easily be cleared out when you are able to speak or meet with your lawyer in person.

At the bottom of the form, it states "The Department is currently testing an electronic application system for nonimmigrant visa application that will allow electronic submission and eliminate paper forms.

Nov 30, 2017 · Correct - for cases being processed electronically through NVC's new PIVOT system for electronic processing, no DS-261 is required. Montreal is using this PIVOT system and you just upload all the documents to the website per their instructions.
