Calibration for DBX RTA-M measurement mic
May 8, 2013 · My question concerns calibration files for the DBX RTA-M. Although it costs $100, I chose this mic over the Behringer because it has a lower noise floor. I have a dwg file that is supposed to be the basic calibration files but am wondering if anyone has basic calibration files in a different format for the mic and/or will REW read the dwg files?

You should be fine using the dbx, depending on what you want to do with the measurements. However, if you intend to apply any manual equalization, I’d highly recommend a calibrated mic.

Nov 3, 2009 · Got a dbx RTA-M for a great price. I'm using it without the dbx processor, on 48v. I've found a calibration file online, according to which the RTA-M is essentialy flat between 15Hz up to 30kHz (!). This calibration file seems a lot more comprehensive frequency-wise than other files I have seen for ETF.

Apr 19, 2009 · Steve, I've attached the DBX RTA-M calibration file for REW that I had on file as a generic cal for that mic. For home use it will be fine, but as Kal says, and we make clear on our download site, that if you are concerned about accuracy beyond home use, then you should have your microphone calibrated.
