Serves as the OPR and focal point for DAF instructional system development (ISD) procedural guidance, planning and programs for training requirements in system training plans, and prepares DAF ISD publications.

DAF e-Learning (DAFeL) provides customizable learning solutions curated in coordination with DAF personnel, industry leading vendors including MIT Sloan, and Skillsoft SMEs designed upskill and reskill in business, leadership, and tech skills; advance careers; complete upgrade training; and prepare for and maintain professional certifications.

Training programs include: technical, on-the-job, flying, ancillary, expeditionary Airman training, Civilian Acculturation and Leadership Training, and advanced training such as the Air Force Weapons School and other advanced courses.

DAF programs are described by using PEs, each of which identifies the resources needed to support a specific program. PEs were specifically designed to include multiple appropriations, if needed, so a PE can have multiple appropriation codes embedded with resources attached.

As outlined in Department of the Air Force Manual 36-2689, ETCA is an information resource/catalog of over 4K formal and ancillary education and training courses available to DAF and DoD military and civilian personnel.

DAF functional communities must be trained to identify their OCS equities & how to incorporate into planning. This KR will influence DAF future concepts, force design & programming/budget decisions.
