Jun 7, 2012 · I just came across some footage of Patton giving a speech to a US unit in England before D-Day when he was head of the fictitious Army. All the troops are wearing M43 jackets. The general consensus seems to be that they didn't reach the ETO until after D-Day but I would challenge this assumption.
