Kamyar Cyrus Habib SJ (born August 22, 1981) is an American Jesuit, lawyer, and politician who served as both a state legislator from 2013 to 2017 and then as the 16th lieutenant governor of Washington from 2017 to 2021.

We’re getting started on today’s episode with the only American Jesuit who served as a state’s lieutenant governor before entering the Society of Jesus. (We didn’t actually look that fact up, but we’re sure it’s true.) Cyrus Habib, SJ, is a Jesuit in the stage of formation called regency.

Kamyar Cyrus Habib (born August 22, 1981) is an American politician, lawyer, and educator. He was the 16th Lieutenant Governor of Washington. He has been fully blind since he lost his eyesight to cancer at age eight.

Currently, he is performing regency as Global Policy and Institutional Strategy Lead with Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar – Office of Justice and Ecology in Nairobi, Kenya.
