Ray Gallegos, also known as Cochiti Ray, learned to make traditional drums from his father, who learned to make drums from Diego. Ray and the Gallegos family are members of the Cochiti Pueblo and own the Cochiti Trading Post.

Cochiti Pueblo Native American Handmade Drum A great sounding handmade Native American drum and beater. It was made by Cochiti Ray of Cochiti Pueblo in New Mexico. Excellent condition. Ray learned the art at an early age from his father Elvoy, who in turn learned from an old drum maker named Diego.
