Mar 31, 2025 · There was a C&NW F7B at Gateway Rail for sale a while back, lacked alignment control couplers - which is probably the same issue with the NRE unit. NCDOT has a former CNW F7b converted to HEP car. They have not used it for anything. It just sits in Raleigh NC.

Sep 6, 2006 · An F7B is mechanically and electrically identical to an F7A except for having a control cab. F7Bs were built with hostling controls which provided very limited control capabilities (and in most cases were later removed or disconnected).
